HISTORIC GEM

Our traditional pub has stood since medieval times and was first recorded as The Bells taphouse in the 17th Century. Named after the religious ringing of the ancient St Mary’s Church that’s stands opposite, rumoured to have once held the Magna Carta in 1215, the pub holds a key part of history.

Offering an abundance of historic charm, with original flagstone floors, oak beams, and rich wood paneling, you’ll be surrounded with all the village comforts needed to enjoy every visit.
