bells pub staines village seating area near bar

Our traditional pub has stood since medieval times and was first recorded as The Bells taphouse in the 17th Century. Named after the religious ringing of the ancient St Mary’s Church that’s stands opposite, rumoured to have once held the Magna Carta in 1215, the pub holds a key part of history.

Offering an abundance of historic charm, with original flagstone floors, oak beams, and rich wood paneling, you’ll be surrounded with all the village comforts needed to enjoy every visit.

Immerse yourself in a relaxing oasis any time of the year, in our alfresco courtyard. Enclosed with wild greenery and surrounded by colourful flowers, it’s the perfect sun trap to enjoy small plates and cocktails. With plenty of tranquil spots to unwind and create memories, we will always provide the perfect tipple.

For those extra special occasions, you’ll feel indulged with a private dining space to laugh, drink and feast with all your guests here at The Bells. Feel like a true VIP in our intimate dining space for small gatherings or add finesse to a work affair.

Relax into your surroundings and take in our welcoming atmosphere after a long dog walk. Whether you’re soaking up the sun in our courtyard or snuggled by the open fire inside you can do it with man’s best friend by your side.
